This is work I did while on an exchange at the University of the Creative Arts in Rochester, Kent, in the United Kingdom. It is a theoretical collection I did for the British fashion retailer Warehouse. We had to choose from four trends and I chose the futuristic trend, Stratospheric. (04/2014)
This is one of my first explorations of working with a Target Market. With each market comes careful considerations on the Market's tastes and preferences. For this project I chose to work with an older Market, "Glammas". (03/2013)

A coat with functional properties that doesn't skimp on design. (02/2013)
This was a theoretical collaboration between a group of fellow students and I and Lululemon Lab. We created cycle friendly pieces that would have the technical abilities to be appropriate for riding a bike, that could also transition to social interactions. (04/2013)
For the International Designers project we had to choose a designer and create a garment as if we were designing under their label. I chose Hussein Chalayan, a man regarded as one of the most innovative and forward thinking designers of his time. Chalayan is usually inspired by a concept or an idea, rather than a theme and believes himself to be more of an artist than a fashion designer. I was attracted to his approach and how he took his past and used it to influence his forward thinking designs.
My garment was inspired by two things: a 2006 trip overseas in which I witnessed rockets going off and also by Chalayan's garment that was a table that turned into a skirt (FW 2000, Afterwards). The intention of the dynamicity was that the wearer had been forced into exile, being able to only take the clothes on their back. My garment is a wearable, portable, bomb shelter. The bomb shelter is transformable within only a few seconds, which is literally the amount of time someone may have to get to a bomb shelter in the event of an actual attack.
